Section Manager – Utility Networks (Electricity, Gas & Water) – Belgium
Are you ready to lead and coordinate critical infrastructure projects across Belgium's electricity, gas, and water distribution networks?
Our partner, a major player in multi-technical services and energy infrastructure, is looking for a Section Manager to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of aerial and underground network projects. This is a role where technical expertise, P&L responsibility, and people leadership truly come together.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and control all operational project activities in close collaboration with your project managers.
- Take full ownership of the commercial and financial performance of your section: revenue, budgets, margins, and P&L.
- Monitor project execution, ensure delivery within deadlines, budgets, and quality standards, and proactively resolve any issues.
- Report regularly to the Department Manager on activities, progress, and results.
- Lead, coach, and develop your team, ensuring the right staffing levels, skill sets, and a positive working environment.
- Guarantee strict compliance with safety and quality standards across all operations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
- Negotiate with partners and subcontractors on deliveries and services in line with project needs and contractual conditions.
Your Profile
- Engineering degree, ideally in electromechanics, or equivalent through experience.
- Proven track record in the energy or utility infrastructure sector (electricity, gas, water distribution).
- Strong experience managing technical teams, you're a true people manager.
- Solid organizational skills with a hands-on, results-driven mindset.
- Comfortable with autonomy, decision-making, and accountability.
- Creative, communicative, and proactive.
- Fluent in French and Dutch (mandatory).
